The Traffic and Patrol Department in the Abu Dhabi Police, represented by Al Ain Traffic and Patrol Department, organized intensive awareness lectures for students. These lectures were attended by 10,427 students from schools, faculties, and colleges as well as supervisors of school buses from the Emirates Transport Foundation in Al Ain City. A total of 109 lectures were given since the beginning of February to present.
Major Mohsen Saeed Al Mansouri, Chief of Al Ain Traffic and Patrol Department, reasserted the attention given by the department to raise the level of traffic education to higher degrees through social communication methods.
He added: “The lectures focused on the safe driving of school buses, identifying the role of supervisors in maintaining students’ safety while boarding and exiting buses. The lectures also included training students on how to board school buses, sit in their seats when bus is in motion, and to not stand behind the bus after exiting.”
The lectures, which were organized by Traffic Awareness Team in Al Ain Traffic and Patrol Department, were attended by Major Mohsen Al Mansouri, Major Matar Al Muhairi, Captain Saeed Al Hasani, First Warrant Officer Hamed Al Alawi, First Sergeant Ahmad Ibrahim Mokhtar, Warrant Officer Abdullah Khamis Al Saedi, and Police Officer Abdullah Sultan Al Nuaimi, in addition to the cooperation of comprehensive centers and traffic institutions.
